Story Sessions (#AHPStorySessions) are my passion project, my whimsical take on the real life stories of my loved ones. With the season of gratitude and gathering upon us, this month's Story Session is inspired by my #momsquad and how I am so Thankful for my Tribe. Follow me on Instagram for all the Fall-inspired-mamahood-goodness!
PART I: "Your vibe attracts your tribe." A few weeks ago, I saw that mantra on Instagram, beautifully painted on a wood sign by a local refurbisher. It immediately brought to mind *my* tribe - the moms who have been there with me since our first kids were just a few months old (they're now 4 1/2 years old!), who have become family, who have become a lifeline. And I was inspired to do something truly special for them, especially with the season of gratitude upon us: a Moms' Happy-Hour In, all about the Fall season, spending quality time together, and celebrating these vital friendships.
PART II: As much as we loooove our sweats-and-popcorn moms' nights, I wanted to do something extra special and beautiful for them. So, we created a dreamy and lush "Sips & Sweets" table with everything a mama could wish for: champagne and elderflower liqueur, jewel-toned macarons and cupcakes hand-painted with gold, and a five-layer coffee-infused chocolate cake. For a touch of elegance: fresh organic florals, vintage stemware, and a vintage baker's table. The DIY memory hoop was a visual walk-down-memory-lane for our tribe.
PART III: Time to get the party started! I love my tribe: two of them even arrived in true #mamaboo fashion - by tandem bicycle! These women are truly gorgeous in any situation, but there's something so fun about getting dolled up for a night with besties. Laughter, conversation, fig macarons, and delicious drinks...can it be Moms' Night and Fall forever?
PART IV: Our tribe looooves Fall and everything cozy and sweet for our homes. A paint party was the perfect activity for a Fall Moms' Night: creating something beautiful can be extremely therapeutic, and it can rarely be done when at home with our littles hehe. I wanted to represent the freedom and the strength that my tribe has given me, so I incorporated feather and stone elements into the rich Fall colors and florals of the table decor. The mamas continued to enjoy their sips and sweets as we chatted and created.
PART V: As the evening winded down, we cut into the delicious coffee-infused, gold-flecked cake (SERIOUSLY?!) and talked about Fall plans, syncing up our Christmas advent calendars, and when the next Moms Night could be. Having found such an amazing group of women and mamas to inspire me, support each other, and just have fun with has made me a more joyful mother and a better person. It is always my first advice to any new mamas I meet: find your tribe.
THANK YOU for following this month's Story Session, THANK YOU X 1000 to the badass all-women team of creators that were behind the camera with me, and -- most especially, I am #ThankfulforMyTribe.
